By using a throwing line for work on sloping roofs a rope can be pulled over the roof.

Currently only have thatch walls.
You need two snap points to be able to reliably place a sloped ceiling.
That should solve all of your problems if my experience tells me anything.
Hi i am trying to model roof framing in a sloped roof.
But after i set the the sloped roof to be the reference plane have problems getting beams to snap to the gridlines.
As reference plane for this i have used a sloped roof which i copied from the architectural revit file.

Only ramps snap to their short side not to the long side.
However i cannot align my 2d element to the cut through the sloped portion.
It depends on which side the wall is and where you stand if the roof goes up or down.
Even if you demolish it later having them in helps it snap.
And they dont snap to their short side only the long side.
